Privacy Policy for DailyFret

Last updated: July 1, 2026

Ashik Bhandari ("I", "me", or "my") built the DailyFret app. This page explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, DailyFret collects:

Practice Data

As you use the app, it records your practice progress — such as your streak, experience points (XP), per-skill mastery, and daily practice sessions — so it can track your improvement and personalize your practice.

Microphone

Some features (the tuner, Play Challenge, and Play-a-Scale) listen to your guitar through the microphone to detect the notes you play. This audio is processed only on your device in real time to detect pitch — it is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.

How Your Data Is Used

Data Storage

Data We Do NOT Collect

DailyFret does not:

Data Security

Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated server data directly in the app: go to Settings → Delete Account. This removes your account, profile, and all synced practice data from our server, and clears your practice data from the device. You can also request deletion by contacting me at the email below.

Children's Privacy

DailyFret is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to This Policy

I may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
